Choosing Life Over the Long Haul: An Ignatian Path

The Center for Religion and Spirituality invites you to “A Call to Life” a morning discussion focusing on Ignatian Spirituality as a path to find God in everyday life. The workshop will be directed by Wilkie Au, and will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00am to 12:00pm

Debt, disease, divorce, death…the difficulties we face in life take many forms. Discerning how to respond in times of crises—or any painful situation we face—is not an easy task. Challenging times often discourage us from saying “”yes” to life, especially as we age and our losses keep piling up. Ignatian spirituality provides a practical path for living with hope, trust, patience, gratitude, and generosity throughout the seasons of life.

Wilkie Au is a member of our faculty and Ph.D. Professor Emerita of Theological Studies, where he teaches Christian spirituality and pastoral ministry. Dr. Au is the author of the award winning books, By Way of the Heart: Toward a Holistic Spirituality and The Enduring Heart: Spirituality for the Long Haul. He has served as a member of editorial boards for scholarly journals and is a leader in the field of spirituality and formation for spiritual direction and pastoral ministry.
