New Course for Teachers: “Level Up! Student Achievement through Gamification and Game-Based Learning”

LMU Extension introduces: “Level Up! Student Achievement through Gamification and Game-Based Learning”.

This course provides teachers with an in-depth exploration of games, gaming culture, and game design, providing insight into the characteristics of gameplay that make it such a powerful learning tool. By the end of this course, teachers will be equipped with strategies for selecting educational video games that are best suited for their content, grade level, and student needs/interests. They will also discover best practices for gamifying their instruction to leverage the benefits of gameplay with or without technology, and strategies to move the classroom from teacher-centered to student-centered.
