The Yoga and Healing Sciences teacher training program, which has been a popular Fall teacher training program at the Center for Religion and Spirituality, will now be offered twice a year beginning in March 2015. In this course, students will be exposed to five of the most popular styles of Hatha Yoga: Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Power and Chikitsa Vinyasa; as well as other elements of Raja Yoga practice, including meditation, chanting, and pranayama. Students will also be introduced to the fundamental theories of Ayurvedic healing and modern Yoga therapy.
In keeping with the guidelines outlined by Yoga Alliance® for registered 200-hour teacher training programs, this course qualifies participants to register for the 200-hour credential, as verified by the instructors.
The Spring course, which will be directed by Dr. Eden Goldman, will begin on March 27, 2015, following the same weekend format as the Fall course. The schedule is as follows: March 27-29, April 10-12, April 17-19, May 1-3, May 15-17, May 29-31, June 12-14, June 26-28, July 10-12, and July 17-19.
